Radio host and seasoned comic with an ever growing profile, Akmal Saleh has toured nationally with Jimeoin, Ben Elton, Steady Eddy, The Amazing Jonathon, the Umbilical Brothers and has supported Steven Wright on two of his Australian tours.

Being of Arab heritage, Akmal Saleh's comedy touches on the issues such as Jesus, September 11 and hysterical looks at modern day life in Australia. He has the uncanny gift to walk on stage and instantly have the audience eating out the palm of his hand.

In 1992 Akmal Saleh wrote and starred in All Aussies are Boofta, a comedy show which enjoyed successful runs and rave reviews at The Harold park Hotel, Parramatta Riverside Theatre and The Harbourside Brasserie in Sydney.

His show HOOT enjoyed a successful run at the 1996 Adelaide Fringe and Melbourne Comedy Festivals and was subsequently invited to appear at the Gided Balloon in the 1996 Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Saleh Akmal's show Gullible premiered at the 2004 Melbourne International Comedy Festival with every show a sell-out.
