KUALA LUMPUR: LOCAL comedian Harith Iskander will lead a cast of stand-up comics at the Slippery Senoritas in Georgetown on April 22 and 23 to entertain Penangites.

Harith is generally acknowledged as Malaysia's premier stand-up comedian. For more than a decade, he has performed live at countless events with his unique and original material.

He has also performed in Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong and Dubai.

Harith is also an accomplished, award-winning film director and writer.

The show organised by the Comedy Club is an effort to bring world-class comedies and stand-up performances to The Pearl of the Orient.

Along with Harith, Australian funnyman Jon Atherton and another Malaysian, Kavin Jayaram, will take to the stage to entertain patrons.

Atherton is one of Australia's finest stand-up comedians. He is also an actor, television presenter, voice artist, screen writer and awardwinning photographer.

According to event director Jack Jeganesan, the shows are targeted at the professional urban and expatriate crowd.

Showtime is at 8.30pm and early birds will only have to pay RM38, inclusive of a drink.

Tickets at the door are priced at RM45 (inclusive of a drink).
